Job Summary:
The nation's premier substance abuse company is currently looking for a Director of Nursing to oversee their Queens and Long Island sites. In this role you will demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contribute to nursing assessment and the development of a nursing care plan, and policy writing/edits clinically.
Responsibilities:
Conducts monthly site visits to OASAS/OMH-Licensed facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory and healthcare policies.
Collaborates with leadership to improve healthcare systems within the organization.
Prioritizes evidence-based practices and stays updated on addiction care trends and treatments.
Assesses and evaluates the medical program to meet patient needs and the organization's standards.
Maintains tracking systems for facility standards and regulatory compliance.
Ensures nurses meet competency requirements at designated intervals.
Ensures facility maintenance and cleanliness meet CARF/OMH/OASAS standards.
Manages patient outcome tracking in research and patient databases.
Develops and monitors budgets for personnel, supplies, and equipment with staff and leadership.
Tracks unit performance metrics, including agency costs, turnover, and vacancies.

Requirements
5-10 years of management experience.
Registered Nurse with valid New York State license.
Background in OASAS and OMH regulations.
Substance abuse/mental health experience greatly encouraged.
Competency with computer-based programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Relias and EHR.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
Strong supervisory, and leadership skills; keen analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
