Job Summary:


A respected healthcare network in Westchester County is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) leader to join their team as their Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The CNO provides strategic and operational leadership for a center dedicated to providing exceptional care for young adults with chronic medical conditions.


  • Lead efforts to develop and implement an interdisciplinary care model that offers comprehensive, person-centered care and education for young adults with chronic medical needs.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, ensuring the successful execution of plans and monitoring key success metrics.

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care by maintaining the highest nursing standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.

  • Partner with the Administrator and Chief Medical Officer to design innovative care programs, clinical pathways, and efficient staffing models tailored to the unique needs of this patient population.

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and transparency, with a focus on continuous improvement in clinical care delivery.

  • Review quality and safety data to identify trends and opportunities to enhance patient care and improve nursing practices.

  • Mentor and empower a high-performing nursing team, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.

  • Promote employee engagement, professional development, and a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

  • Oversee department budgets, ensuring efficient financial management while maintaining exceptional care standards.

Requirements

  • New York State RN License

  • BCLS certification

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing

  • A minimum of 10 years of nursing experience, with 5-7 years in progressive leadership roles within Nursing Administration in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.

  • Proven expertise in managing nursing operations, clinical decision-making, and implementing patient care protocols in a long-term care or rehab facility.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).

  • Public speaking experience, with the ability to present at conferences and advocate for best practices in long-term care and rehabilitation.

  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, families, and community partners.
